"Serein" Group Exhibition at Galery Stilbaai

The exhibition, Serein, includes three of my pieces named Innocence I, II and III. Each of the pieces features Imaginary Friend playing with different childhood toys in front of a black urban skyline and graffitied gold leaf skies. The pieces are all mixed media (Acrylic & Gold Leaf) on Fabriano.

More info on the exhibition:

Serein means “mist or fine rain falling from an apparently clear sky”.

Like rain falling from a clear sky, life is filled with the weird and the wonderful.

Many of our guests at Galery wander in seeking a quiet moment, but they also seek to experience something weird and wonderful

Serein is an exhibition of tiny artworks, drawing the viewer in close. An exchange of the most weird and wonderful things.

This is an opportunity for artists to push the boundaries of what is possible in art and to create something unconventional and inspiring. It could be a teeny tiny painting or drawing with whimsy, a wall sculpture to inspire. Perhaps a little ornament transformed to evoke curiosity or playfulness.
